Man Arrested for Riding on Roof of Shared Car in St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg, March 10 – The press service of the GUMVD of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region reported that the police detained a man who was riding on the roof of a car-sharing car in the Frunzensky district.

It was established that on March 9, at about 21.30, a 34-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman were driving along Malaya Balkanskaya Street in a rented car-sharing Kia Rio, but they were joined by an unfamiliar man who jumped onto the roof of the car and tried to get inside to her.

In addition, the Frunzensky district police received a statement from a representative of the car-sharing organization that they ask to bring to justice the man who damaged the Kia Rio car, and the case for initiating criminal cases is currently being decided. Administrative materials have also been drawn up against the motorist under Art. 12.26 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (refusal to check), added the press service of GUMVD.
