Marchenko Shatters Rookie Season Goals Record in NHL

Moscow, March 29 – Forward of the Russian “Columbus Blue Jackets” Kirill Marchenko repeated the club record for the number of goals in the first season of the National Hockey League (NHL).
In the regular season match against the New York Rangers, Marchenko scored an abandoned puck, which became the twentieth for the Russians in the current draw.

The 22-year-old forward is in his first season in the NHL and, thanks to a goal against the Rangers, has moved up to the lead of any rookie in franchise history. Marchenko repeated the record set in the 2017/18 season by Pierre-Luc Dubois, who scored 20 goals in his first year with Columbus.
