Media: annual inflation in Israel reached the highest level in 20 years
The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that the rate of inflation in Israel through the end of 2022 reached its highest level in 20 years.
Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics confirmed that at the end of last year, from October to December, the consumer price index rose by 0.3%.
According to the statistical summary, the annual inflation rate in 2022 was 5.3%.
The newspaper stated that this is the highest figure since 2002, when the annual inflation rate reached 6.3%, and since then it has not exceeded the threshold of 3.9%.
