Moscow, February 1 – The English Football Association (FA) has launched an investigation into Ukrainian footballer Mykhailo Modryk for using a racist term in a video posted to social network TikTok, according to The Athletic.
The Football Association is currently investigating a video of the 22-year-old midfielder which has since been removed from social media. By the time of removal, it had managed to get more than 214k views.
The video was posted by a gamer in June 2022. In it, Modric quotes the lyrics to the song Freestyle by American rapper Lil’ Baby. The player himself apologized before, but fans and social activists still criticize the Ukrainian.
