Moscow, December 27 – In Moscow, a large amount of snow is expected this week, and the height of the snowdrifts will increase by five to eight centimeters by New Year’s Eve, Roman Wilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center, told the News Agency.
“The snow will intensify on Tuesday, and it will be heavy in some places. On the night of Wednesday and the morning of December 28, it will also snow, in the heavy places. A significant amount of snow is expected, and the snow will increase by five to eight centimeters, which is now More than 20 centimetres, higher than normal.So by New Year’s Eve the snow will be much more intense,” said Wilvand.
The forecaster also noted that the air temperature will rise during the week. On Tuesday, the temperature will rise from minus 6 – minus 8 in the morning to 0 – minus 2 degrees in the evening. Daytime temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday range from 0 to minus 2, on Friday – from 3 to plus 2 degrees.
