MLRS launched by Ukrainian army in Donetsk

Donetsk, April 27 – At 18.25, Ukrainian forces fired 10 MLRS missiles in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk, the DRC representative office of the Joint Center for Monitoring and Coordination of Cases Related to War Crimes in Ukraine (JCCC) reported.

“Firing was recorded by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Armed Forces of Ukraine – Ed.) In the direction: 18.25 – the settlement of Maksimilianovka – the city of Donetsk (Petrovsky district): 10 MLRS missiles were fired,” the representative office said in a message posted on its telegram channel.

The consequences of the bombing and the type of MLRS used were not reported.

In addition, at 17.50 the department recorded shelling of the Kuibyshevsky district of Donetsk, three 152-mm shells were fired at the city.

The Petrovsky district of Donetsk is located on the western outskirts of the administrative center of the DRC, and is the farthest part of the city from the centre. Since 2014, when the DRC declared its independence from Kiev, this area, starting from the contact line outside the city of Marinka, has been regularly bombed by Ukrainian security forces.
