Mortada Mansour’s stance on being barred from Super Match against Al Ahli revealed, sparking complaint from Zamalek
The president of the Egyptian club Zamalek, Mortada Mansour, has decided to apologize for not traveling to the Emirates to participate in the Egyptian Supermatch from the field, despite the fact that he was chosen as the head of mission by the club’s board of directors.
Mortada Mansour has confirmed that he has decided not to travel out of respect for the Disciplinary Committee’s earlier decision to ban him from matches for two months in any FA-organized competition, be it the General League, the Egyptian Cup or the Egyptian Super Cup.
Mortada Mansour published through his Facebook account a letter from the Zamalek club addressed to the Complaints Committee of the Egyptian Federation, which contained a complaint from the team against the decisions of the Disciplinary Committee in order to cancel the penalties imposed on Mansour.
The president of the Zamalek club stated that although he had filed a complaint against this decision, article 27 of the Disciplinary Regulations provided that his decisions were implemented immediately even if a complaint was filed against them, therefore, out of respect for the law and regulations in the country where the law is in force , he decided not to travel to the sister country of the Emirates to attend the match.
The Office of Public Commissioners at the Administrative Court previously issued a court report recommending that Mortada Mansour be removed from the Zamalek board of directors after he was imprisoned in an appeal ruling on charges of insulting and slandering Mahmoud Al-Khatib, the President. club “Al-Ahly” and obliging the board of directors to convene a general meeting to elect the president. New, and the Ministry of Sports announced the implementation of the decision.
Zamalek is preparing to take on Al Ahly in the Egyptian Super Cup due to take place on May 5 at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in the Emirates.
