About 20,000 people took part in the ninth Moscow Marathon, which was held for the first time in the Russian capital over two days.

Today, Sunday, in addition to the 21.1 km race, there was a relay race for companies, and yesterday, Saturday, there was a 5 km race and another one for children.

“In just two days, about 20,000 runners took part in the Moscow Half Marathon,” said Dmitry Tarasov, director of the Moscow Half Marathon. “There are experienced athletes and amateurs among them, for whom the “half marathon” is a time of sporting achievements. and the opportunity to update their personal record, as well as for beginners, and participation in the Moscow Half Marathon is the first chapter in the history of their participation in running sports.
