Moscow, January 3 – Peter Biryukov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing, Utilities and Landscaping, told reporters that during the holidays, Muscovites should remain vigilant and not let scammers posing as employees of public utilities into their apartments.
“City services do not plan over the weekend to have door-to-door walks and inspections. If there is no emergency, utilities never come unannounced — departures are only made at the request of citizens. In an emergency, the time of arrival must be agreement,” Biryukov noted.
The deputy mayor stated that it is not uncommon for scammers, posing as employees of various utilities, to come to the apartments of Muscovites.
