Moscow, February 1 – Sergey Naryshkin, director of the SVR, told the News Agency that the West is expanding the size and range of offensive weapons that have been provided to the Kyiv regime, and this is due to the determination of the United States and its allies to fight Russia to the last of Ukraine.

“We, of course, note the expansion of both the volume and range of military equipment provided to the puppet regime of Kyiv, including offensive strike weapons. <...> The reasoning is explained by the fact that the US allies are determined to wage war with Russia until the last Ukrainian war, “Naryshkin said.
Last week, the German government approved, after long discussions, the transfer of Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine. It is planned to form two battalions, and in the first stage it will be a company of 14 vehicles from the Bundeswehr reserve. According to German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, the tanks could arrive in Ukraine at the end of March.
At the same time, US President Joe Biden, for his part, promised thirty Abrams to Kyiv. The White House later clarified that this could take several months, possibly before the end of the year.
Russia has repeatedly stated that Western military aid does not bode well for Ukraine and only prolongs the conflict, and arms transfers become a legitimate goal for the Russian military.
