Newspaper: Saudi Arabia prepares to import eggs
The Al-Riyadh newspaper reported that the Saudi Arabian authorities are taking steps to open the door to the import of table eggs for a certain period and in limited quantities.
The Saudi newspaper reported that the decision was made to counter the excessive rise in egg prices in response to the growing demand for table eggs and to provide a surplus in the local market in addition to local production, which covers the needs of the market.
It is noteworthy that egg producers in the Kingdom receive support in feed prices in order to contribute to the stability of goods and products in the markets and not burden citizens and residents with an additional burden.
The Food and Drug Administration conducts a series of laboratory tests on animal products to ensure they are safe and meet Saudi Arabian standards.
