Nine cars collided in a fatal accident in Sochi

Sochi, January 20 – The city police said on Friday that nine cars were involved in Sochi, one person died, and a traffic jam formed on a section of the A-147 motorway.

According to preliminary data, the BMW and Mercedes drivers exceeded the “safe distance and speed”, and eventually crashed into the parked cars.

“A mass accident occurred in Sochi involving nine cars. As a result, the driver of a Kia car died. The injured were taken to hospital,” the statement read.

Police, paramedics and medics are on the scene.
