No Immediate Action by OPEC After Iran Calls for Oil Embargo on Israel: Reuters
OPEC Sources Deny Plans for Emergency Meeting Following Iran’s Call for Oil Embargo on Israel
Four sources within the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) have stated that they do not have any immediate plans for an emergency meeting or to take action in response to Iran’s call for an oil embargo on Israel. This information was reported by Reuters on Wednesday.
Earlier today, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian urged Islamic countries to impose an oil embargo on the “Zionist regime.” The head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry also emphasized the need to expel ambassadors from countries that have relations with Israel.
This call was made following an Israeli rocket attack on Al-Maamdani hospital in the Gaza Strip, resulting in over 500 casualties and numerous injuries.
