Norwegian biathletes win the World Cup relay race in Ruhpolding

Moscow, January 14 – The Norwegian national team won the women’s relay at the fifth stage of the Biathlon World Cup, which is being held in Ruhpolding, Germany.
The Norwegians posted a total time of 1 hour 8 minutes 17.3 seconds using six additional rounds on the firing lines. The gold medals were won by Caroline Knuten, Ranhill Femstinevic, Mart Roseland, and Ingrid Tandrivold.
The German team took second place (+15.2 seconds, 10 bonus rounds), and the third was the Italian team (+33.5; 4). The Ukrainian team took 11th place (+3.11.7; 11).

The International Biathlon Union (IBU) congress decided in September to support the suspension of Russian and Belarusian athletes from international competitions until further notice amid the situation in Ukraine.
