Official.. Morocco excluded from Africa Cup of Nations for locals

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced the exclusion of the Morocco national football team from the Africa Cup of Nations in local football in its current edition.

In an official statement published by the Confederation of African Football on its website, it was announced the exclusion of the Moroccan national team from the African Cup of Nations for local competitions.

And in his statement, he stated: “The third group will consist of only 3 teams: Ghana, Sudan and Madagascar.”

And according to what was decided at the meeting of the organizing committee of the tournament, which was held in Algiers, the first two teams from group C will go to the next round.

The organizing committee of the African Cup of Nations also criticized the position of the Moroccan national team regarding the failure to appear for the match in Sudan and referred the case to the competent judicial authority.

The non-appearance of the Moroccan national team for the match in Sudan and its withdrawal from the tournament comes amid the inability to obtain permission to fly to Algeria by airlines.
