The new PC port of The Last of Us Part 1 is currently available on Steam and Epic Games Store at a lower price than the PS5 version.
PC gamers will have to pay a lower price to play the first installment of The Last of Us than PlayStation 5 players did in September when the game first came out. The PC version of The Last of Us Part 1 is the most recent release in a long line of first-party Sony games that have made their way to the platform.
Several fans wondered if a remake of such a game was necessary. Still, it received great praise when the remake of one of PlayStaion’s most recognized titles was launched last year. Sony decided to bring the post-apocalyptic franchise to PC after the popularity of the remake. As part of Sony’s recent push to bring games from their acclaimed first-party portfolio on PC, The Last of Us Part 1 joins the likes of Horizon: Zero Dawn, Spider-Mang, and God of War.
The First Chapter of The Last of Us is currently available on Steam and Epic Games Store, but at a price significantly lower than the game’s initial price tag of $70 for the PlayStation 5. It can be purchased for a discounted price of $60 on Steam and Epic, with an optional Digital Deluxe Edition Upgrade available for an additional $10. This upgrade grants access to early item unlocks as well as weapon cosmetics. All first-party PS5 games recently experienced a price increase to $70. Sony’s PC ports continue to be offered at the more affordable price of $60, which is fantastic news for PC gamers.

The fact that The Last of Us, Part 1 is a remake allows for a $10 discount on the game’s price; the most recent remake of Resident Evil 4 costs the same amount on consoles and Steam. Given that this is the first iteration of The Last of Us to be made available on PC, a price tag of $70 may have been appropriate. Likely, The Last of Us Part 1 is now available at a lower price point, given how difficult the PC launch of the first game in the series has been for many fans.
As Sony continues its efforts to bring some of its most popular titles to the PC platform, it is reasonable to anticipate that even more PlayStation hits will eventually make their way to the platform. The demand for a PC port of the highly acclaimed The Last of Us Part 2 will soon increase now that players on PC platforms can finally experience The Last of Us Part 1.
The First Chapter of “The Last of Us” is now playable on PS5 and PC.
