In response to the unauthorized publication of a 200-page artbook for Tears of the Kingdom on Discord, Nintendo has recently issued a DMCA subpoena. It has been very careful to protect the Tears of the Kingdom. The leak occurred in February, but it was removed almost immediately after Nintendo filed a DMCA takedown request. However, to take things one step further, the gaming giant intends to pursue legal action against the person who leaked the information. Even though the lawsuit is still being heard, the subpoena filing asserts the following:
“[Nintendo of America] is requesting the attached proposed subpoena that would order Discord Inc. to disclose the identity of the user Julien#2743, responsible for posting infringing content that appeared at the following Discord channel Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This would include the user’s name(s), address(es), telephone number(s), and e-mail address(es).
One month ago, the official Nintendo Direct broadcast and ten minutes of gameplay video for Tears of the Kingdom provided the most in-depth look at the game. The game is a good successor to Breath of the Wild and offers a rebuilt Hyrule, new powers for Link to exploit, such as weapon fusion and elemental arrows, and the arrival of the mysterious Sky Islands. In addition, the game is a worthy successor to Breath of the Wild.
What are some things you are looking forward to seeing in the live stream and the final trailer tomorrow?
