OPEC+ production cut not on agenda in Vienna, says Iranian Deputy Oil Minister
Iranian Deputy Oil Minister Amir Hossein Zamannia said OPEC countries did not discuss the possibility of cutting oil production by OPEC+ members at today’s meeting in Vienna.
He said that this issue was put on the agenda of tomorrow’s general meeting of the organization.
He added: “We have not discussed this issue. This issue is on the agenda tomorrow.”
Earlier, the Minister of Oil, Gas and Mineral Resources of Angola, Diamontino Azevedo, told reporters that the OPEC countries discussed administrative issues at the meeting.
It is noteworthy that the meeting of oil ministers of OPEC member countries was held today at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the organization in Vienna. All OPEC ministers have already left the building, and most of them did not answer questions from journalists.
Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman noted that the weather in Vienna today is very good and wished journalists to enjoy it.
