Moscow, January 27 – Russian striker “Washington Capitals” Alexander Ovechkin narrowed the gap from Canadian Wayne Gretzky in the list of the best scorers in the National Hockey League (NHL) in history to 82 goals.
In the regular season game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, Ovechkin scored an abandoned puck. The Russian, who ranks second in the ranking of the best scorers in the history of the NHL, brought his total number of goals to 812.
