Paris Saint-Germain Criticized for Excluding Kylian Mbappe from Asian Tour: French Football Federation Threatens Legal Action
The French Football Federation Criticizes Paris Saint-Germain for Excluding Kylian Mbappe
The French Football Federation has expressed its disapproval of Paris Saint-Germain’s decision to leave Kylian Mbappe out of the team’s list for their Asian tour in preparation for the upcoming 2023-2024 football season.
In an official statement, the French Football Federation criticized the actions of Paris Saint-Germain and even threatened to take legal action, according to the Bleacher Report website.
Equal Working Conditions for All Players
The French Federation of Professional Footballers stated in their statement that all players should be provided with the same working conditions as the professional workforce.
This criticism comes as relations between 24-year-old Kylian Mbappe and the management of Paris Saint-Germain have deteriorated. Mbappe has refused to extend his contract with the team beyond 2025, which would allow him to leave on a free transfer next summer.
Mbappe’s Future Plans
Mbappe intends to stay at Paris Saint-Germain until the end of his contract in the summer of 2024 in order to receive a loyalty bonus. After that, he plans to join Real Madrid for free and sign a lucrative contract with the Spanish side.
However, Nasser Al Khulaifi, the president of Paris Saint-Germain, has given Mbappe until early August to make his final decision. He can either extend his contract or leave the team this summer.
