St. Petersburg, December 27 – Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, said that the rings, which the leaders of the CIS countries received as a gift for the New Year, are a souvenir, and the head of state will not wear them.
At an informal summit in St. Petersburg, the leaders of the CIS countries received rings with the symbols of the Commonwealth as a New Year’s gift.
“It’s just a New Year’s souvenir, there’s nothing special about it,” Peskov told reporters.
