Santiment data shows Polkadot and Kusama the largest developer activity in the last 30 days as projects continue to build even though their overall valuation was well below their peak in 2021.

According to a report by on-chain intelligence and analytics platform, Santiment, the number of notable GitHub commits — also known as the number of updates or modifications to the source code — rises for 10 out of 415 cryptocurrencies.

The data shows that Polkadot (DOT) and Kusama (KSM) topped the charts with 558.07 GitHub commits in the last 30 days. Cardano, the seventh largest crypto asset by market capitalization, received approximately 506.37 commitments in the mentioned time frame.

Moreover, Filecoin is placed in last place with 305.17 GitHub. The asset is ranked 27, according to data examiner Santiment, on the cryptocurrency chart, with a market capitalization of $3.19 billion.

While the currency prices of the nine crypto projects on the list are in the red over the past 24 hours, Vega Protocol (VEGA) is the only gainer, up 2.15%, and currently trading at $1.27. VEGA’s 24-hour trading volume was nearly $560,000, up 5.27%, with a market capitalization of $54.67 million. It is important to note that the young protocol has received around 352 commits from GitHub already.

Moreover, the second largest cryptocurrency, Ethereum (ETH), has had around 365 commits in the last 30 days. The data shows that the price of ETH declined by 2.64% over the past 24 hours, dropping to the $1,660 level.

Glassnode data shows that the number of Ethereum wallets holding 100 or more ETH coins has fallen to 47,572, the lowest in a month.
