Prospects for cooperation with Russia evaluated by Premier of State Council in China

Beijing, May 24 – Chinese Premier Li Jiang said during his talks with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin in Beijing with the participation of delegations from the two countries that the Russian-Chinese cooperation has bright prospects.

The Premier of the People’s Republic of China stressed that China is willing to maintain contacts between business circles of the two countries and establish mutually beneficial cooperation.

“We intend to do everything in our power to ensure that our agreements are implemented in practice,” he added.

Li Jiang also stressed that the development of countries like Russia opens up great prospects for global development and attracts great attention from the international community.

In addition, Li Jiang pointed to the rapid growth of bilateral trade this year – its growth rate has already reached more than 40 percent.

Speaking about the Russian-Chinese business forum in Shanghai, in which Mishustin took part, the Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China emphasized that, according to all participants, the forum was a great success.

Mishustin is in Beijing on an official visit, during which he will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping. It is expected that the two sides will discuss during the trip issues of cooperation in the commercial and economic fields. Particular attention is to be given to interaction in industry, energy, transport infrastructure and agriculture.

After the talks, Russia and China intend to sign several agreements.
