Everyone agrees that gas has been and will remain the most valuable and real source for the company for a very long time, and the demand for it will grow.

President Putin indicated that Russia was working to develop the gas sector, noting that Gazprom had many export contracts.

Regarding the prospects for the global gas market, Putin said: “In the future, gas consumption will increase in the Asia-Pacific region, including in China.”

The Russian President added: “Over the past 30 years, global gas consumption has almost doubled, and in the next 20 years, according to expert estimates, consumption will grow by another 20%, and maybe more. During the so-called transition period, gas demand will be huge, more than half This increase in consumption will be in the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, especially, of course, in the People’s Republic of China, given the pace of its economic growth.

Putin: Russia has astronomical reserves of blue fuel

The President of Russia said that Gazprom’s proven reserves at various fields are astronomical for any country.

Putin said: “Russia has the Bovanenkovskoye and Kharasavskoye deposits. In the first case (the reserves are) the field is 4.9 trillion cubic meters of proven reserves, about five trillion, and in the second case, about two trillion (cubic meters) … These are astronomical reserves for any country.”

Gazprom: gas reserves in Russia will last for many decades

For his part, the head of the Russian company “Gazprom” Alexei Miller confirmed that Russia is ahead of everyone in the Arctic region and has no competitors in the region.

He said: “We have a unique experience in the Arctic, where we have the necessary competencies, experience and knowledge. (Gazprom) has created a new gas production center in Yamal, new large fields are being developed, and hydrocarbons are being produced. produced. It’s safe to say that Russia is here. In the Arctic (region) ahead of the rest, here we have no competitors.”

He stressed that Russia has sufficient gas reserves for many decades, and this is achieved through the world’s largest resource base.
