Putin’s Unwavering Confidence in Ukraine’s Plan Ahead of Security Council Meeting
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Sunday that Moscow remains confident of achieving its plans for a “special military operation” in Ukraine.
Speaking on state television, Putin added that he is in constant contact with the Ministry of Defense and will take part in a meeting of the Russian Security Council next week.
The report of Russia 1 TV station’s Vesti current affairs program did not say whether the meeting would take place on Friday as usual or if it would be staged.
The comments, in an interview with Kremlin correspondent Pavel Zarubin, came after 24 tense hours when a group of Wagner mercenaries launched an apparent armed rebellion against Moscow’s leadership, before it was canceled.
