Radix DLT, a DeFi-focused smart contract platform for developers to build and deploy dApps faster in a scalable environment, has released concept images for its web3 portfolio.

In an announcement, Radix said the wallet conveys the platform’s vision of rolling out a secure, easy-to-use wallet that greatly enhances user experience.

Enhancing the user experience in DeFi

Radix said the release of their concept images represented more than five years of active research, design and development of the five core technologies that are a part of Radix.

Early this year, Radix plans to launch Babylon Mainnet that showcases the five technologies that are primarily in the Radix portfolio. Once live, the wallet will interact with everyone’s liquid crypto dApps and be ready for the ecosystem of projects keen to take advantage of the Radix DLT underlying layer.

Matthew Hain, Chief Product Officer of Radix, said that the wallet heralds an era for people to “engage easily,” making various blockchain innovations relevant to people.

“The Radix Wallet provides a user experience that gets out of the way and allows users to easily participate. It’s the kind of user experience that will make Web3, DeFi and even Metaverse really relevant to people. You can’t build it on any network but Radix.”

Focus on security

Most importantly, the team said, the wallet will offer better levels of security than traditional finance due to Web 3 integration. The chaos in DeFi and dApps has led to user funds being stolen and reputations destroyed. Last year, hackers lost billions in user money thanks to poor user experience in dApps. The complex user interfaces common to most DeFi dApps do not convey DeFi’s promise of economic empowerment and freedom.

At Radix, security will be enhanced by integrating “native assets” to ensure digital ownership is intuitive and secure. Meanwhile, DeFi users will have an easy time interpreting transactions because Radix Wallet will use “transaction data.”

Customize web3 interactions

To enhance user experience, Radix Wallet connects users to “smart accounts”. The wallet developer explains that these accounts will bring “multi-factor” security to the blockchain, with “chain mechanisms” tagging.

Because of Smart Accounts, Radix brings the customization found in web2 to web3 by enabling users to log in with “People”.

Each entity will have a username and password, eliminating the need for private keys and long public addresses, as is currently the case. In addition, users can switch between desktop and mobile modes through “Radix Connect”.
