Simferopol, March 11 – State Duma deputy from Sevastopol Dmitry Belyk called Vladimir Zelensky’s idea of renaming Russia shameful and disgusting.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky instructed Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Schmygal to “work out thoroughly” the possibility of renaming Russia to Muscovy.
“If Zelensky decides to go down in history, he takes on shameful and disgusting baggage for this – an insult to the Russian people and an attempt to rebrand Russia’s thousand-year-old name. Today, Zelensky’s regime needs a PR luminary so they have found nothing better than to come up with a new name for Russia. But from nothing will change, we will remain Russia on all maps and in the mentality of the whole world, ”Belek told the News Agency.

According to him, even in the most difficult times of relations with the collective West, no one thought of renaming Russia.
Belek stressed that “Zelensky and his followers are a disgusting part of the history of Ukraine, one of the shameful pages of this completely incorrect country.”
