The American channel CNBC reported that about 80% of Twitter employees have quit or been fired since the company was acquired by Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk.

And CNBC said in a report citing the company’s internal data that Twitter’s regular staff had dropped to around 1,300.

According to the channel, the number of full-time engineers in the company is less than 550 people.

The data also showed that there are about 1,400 other employees who currently do not perform any tasks, but they are still employees of the company and receive their wages.

One of the engineers who left the company felt that such a loss of personnel could complicate the provision of the platform and the addition of new services to it.

It is noteworthy that most of the employees were fired by the decision of the new management, while others left due to a change in company policy, including the end of work from home, which was allowed by the previous director Jack Dorsey. .

Notably, Elon Musk acquired Twitter at the end of October in a $44 billion deal. Prior to the acquisition, the company had about 7,500 employees, according to Business Insider.
