The Spanish club Barcelona has received an offer to create a team for them in the State of Qatar with the same name as the club, which will help increase its financial profits in the coming period.
And the Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo” reported that the Spanish president of Barcelona, Juan Laporta, along with Javier Puig and Juan Soler, visited Qatar, where the delegation met with Qatari businessman Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah, chairman of the board of directors of the Baladi Holding Group.
And Mundo Deportivo said in a report that presented to Juan Laporte during his stay in Doha the idea of establishing a club in Qatar for economic purposes.
Among the things that the Qatari side has proposed to an economically struggling Barcelona to increase its financial returns is the creation of a eponymous Barça team in Doha.
Barcelona intend to study the proposal very carefully, see if there is a legal possibility to do so, and then create a club that will bear the name of one of the most popular clubs in the world.
Barcelona are currently looking for new sources of income that will help them in the process of rebuilding the team through a series of deals on the one hand and the cancellation of the club’s debts on the other hand.
