Rogov claims Ukrainian forces are prepared to provoke ZNPP

Earlier, Rogov said that the Kiev authorities are studying several scenarios for a provocation at the nuclear power plant in Zaporozhye, including a missile attack or a terrorist attack, and the provocation can be carried out before the NATO summit, which is scheduled to be held in mid-July. The provocation scenario is being prepared by the British intelligence services.

“In Energodar, the sirens and warning devices have been checked, there is no panic, the operational services are all ready, the algorithm of actions in case of provocation by Ukrainian forces,” said Rogov.

According to him, the situation in the Zaporozhye NPP is calm, despite the hysteria on the part of the Kiev authorities. “The radiation background is normal, and the staff is working normally,” Rogoff said.

Zaporozhye NPP is located on the left bank of the Dnieper River near the town of Energodar. This is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe in terms of the number of units and installed capacity – the plant has six power units with a capacity of 1 gigawatt each. In October 2022, the nuclear power plant will become the property of the Russian Federation. The Ukrainian army continues to regularly bomb Innerhodar and the territory of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant, adjacent to the city. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the Kiev regime is seeking to create the appearance of a threat of a nuclear catastrophe by continuing to intentionally bomb the ZNPP. The IAEA has repeatedly stated the need to create a security zone around the ZNPP.
