“Now we are engaged in supplying heat to it, ensuring the stability of its condition and supplying heat to Energodar, the city of Ukrainian nuclear scientists, which also suffered greatly,” added the head of Rosatom.

According to Likhachev, “our specialists, our colleagues, who came to work with us from the former Ukrainian nuclear power plant, work in the most difficult conditions.”

“Together, we are now ensuring security. It is not easy to do this, because the dividing line for military units is actually a few kilometers away. Well, physical threats have not yet been eliminated. However, not a single accident has yet been allowed at the station.” Likhachev added.

Installation of a protective dome over spent nuclear waste storage at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, designed to protect against shell fragments and improvised explosive devices carried by Ukrainian drones, began to be installed, Volodymyr Rogov, a member of the Main Council of the Zaporozhye Region Administration, said in December.
