Moscow, January 25 – Roskachestvo intends to test soft toys in the form of Cheburashka against the background of the increased popularity of this character after the release of the film of the same name, the organization reports.
“Roskachestvo, after the recently completed tests of Huggy Waggi toys, will test children’s stuffed toys in the form of the Cheburashka character. … The results of the study are scheduled to be announced in the second quarter of 2023,” the letter says.
Roskachestvo notes that against the background of the release of the film of the same name and the hype around the character of Cheburashka, soft toys of various quality have flooded the market, especially Chinese-made products sold in Russian markets.

In addition, the decision to conduct an unscheduled study is associated with the increasing negative feedback on the quality of these products that is coming from consumers, including indigenous communities.
Earlier, Roskachestvo conducted an examination of Huggy Waggi toys and found that they contained an excessive percentage of phenol. After that, it was proposed to tighten the requirements for their implementation, and domestic markets and stores began to remove these games from their assortment.
