Russia clinches six gold medals on the seventh day of the Bolivarian Games

Moscow, April 29 – Russian athletes won six gold medals on the seventh day of competition at the Bolivarian Alliance of the Peoples of the Americas (ALBA) Games in Venezuela.
The champions are Elizaveta Ludkova / Arina Ryaznova and Alexey Arkhipov / Dmitry Verityuk in beach volleyball, Nicole Diaz Remarashin in singles and the Russian team in team all-around rhythmic gymnastics, and Olga Vorobyova and Yana Noskova in the doubles table tennis tournament. Vorobyeva, along with Savely Kizimov, also won the gold medal in the mixed category. In the same discipline, Elizabeth Abrahamyan and Nikita Artemenko took silver. In weightlifting, the second places are occupied by Evgenia Guseva and Maria Gruzdova, the third – by Dmitry Shmarin. The Russian men’s and women’s karate teams won two silver medals.
In total, the Russian team won 19 gold, 13 silver and four bronze medals.

The Games of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of the Americas will be held from April 21 to 29 in Caracas and La Guaira (Venezuela). At competitions, Russian athletes perform under the national flag as special guests of the tournament. In total, the delegation of the Russian national team included 48 athletes. More than 3,500 athletes from 11 countries take part in the Games.
