Russia rejects Armenian “provocative” allegations regarding the state of Belarus
The Kremlin rejected Armenia’s allegations of “forcing” it to join a federal state of Russia and Belarus, describing it as “provocative”.
The spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, told the Armenian News Agency.
On December 26, Armen Grigoryan, secretary of the Armenian Security Council, said that Yerevan was “forced” to join the union state of Russia and Belarus – a supranational structure that includes Russia and Belarus, created with the aim of deepening integration into the economy. And that Moscow is putting pressure on Armenia in the dispute over the Lachin Corridor.
Armenia hosts a large Russian military base near the western city of Gyumri, near the border with Turkey.
