The Cost of Tickets for the Friendly Match between Russia and Qatar

The Qatar Football Association has announced that tickets for the friendly match between Russia and Qatar, scheduled to take place in Al Wakrah on September 12, will cost ten Qatari riyals (approximately 265 rubles).

Free Tickets for the Russian-speaking Community

The Russian Embassy in Qatar plans to distribute free tickets for the match to members of the Russian-speaking community and invited guests.

Details of the Match

The match will be held at Al Janoub Stadium, which was built for the previous World Cup in Qatar. The stadium has a capacity of 44,325 spectators and hosted seven matches during the 2022 World Cup, including the 1/8 final between Japan and Croatia. The match between Russia and Qatar is scheduled to start at 18:15 Moscow time.

Upcoming Friendly Matches

In addition to the match against Qatar, the Russian Football Union has also announced friendly matches against the Egyptian Olympic team on September 7 and 11. The national team’s coaching staff has called up an expanded squad of 49 players for the September training camp.

International Suspension

In February 2022, FIFA and UEFA issued a joint statement suspending Russian national teams and clubs from participating in international competitions indefinitely due to the events in Ukraine. Since then, the Russian national team has played five friendly matches against teams from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Iran, and Iraq.
