Russian Beach Soccer Team Wins Friendly Match Against Oman

Moscow, March 8 – The Russian beach soccer team defeated the Omani national team in a test match held as part of a training camp in Oman.

The meeting ended with a score of 4: 3 in favor of the Russians. Among the winners, Andrei Novikov (4th minute), Artem Voloshin (10), Denis Parkhomenko (21) and Fedor Zemskov (33) scored goals. Yahya Mabweh Al-Araimi (22), Noah Al-Battashi (23) and Abdullah Al-Souti (28) scored against the Omanis.

Previously, the teams met on Tuesdays. The Russians won the first match with a score of 8: 3.

In February 2022, FIFA and UEFA issued a joint statement, according to which the Russian national teams and clubs were suspended from participating in international competitions for an indefinite period due to the events in Ukraine.
