The Russian Defense Ministry has rejected claims by Wagner Group chief Yevgeny Prigozhin that it had ordered strikes against his militia.
The ministry said the statements “do not correspond to reality,” calling it a “provocation.”
The ministry added that “the Russian armed forces continue to carry out combat missions” in Ukraine.
On Friday, the Russian mercenary commander, Yevgeny Prigozhin, accused the Russian army of destroying its fighters, without explaining his accusations, and vowed to stop the “evil” of the military leadership.
In a series of audio messages on his official Telegram channel, Prigozhin said the “evil” of the Russian military leadership “must stop,” adding: “Those who ruined our youth, ruined the lives of tens of thousands of Russian soldiers, I will punish. I demand that no one resist.”
