Alexei Klimov, Director of the Consular Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, expressed optimism about the potential growth of tourism due to the visa-free exchange between Russia and Iran. In an interview with the News Agency, Klimov stated that the agreement has been a complete success.
Visa-Free Group Tours Strengthen Russia-Iran Relations
Klimov highlighted that study visits of Russian and Iranian tour operators were conducted in September as part of the visa-free group tour agreement with Iran. This initiative aims to strengthen relations between the two countries.
Successful Implementation of the Agreement
Klimov mentioned that the implementation mechanism of the agreement was thoroughly tested, leading to the resolution of organizational issues and technical shortcomings.
Details of the Visa-Free Agreement
In March, Iran and Russia signed an agreement enabling visa-free tourist travel between the two countries. The agreement allows groups of 5 to 50 tourists to enter either country for up to 15 days without a visa.
