Russian Plane and American Drone Collide Over Black Sea

A Russian fighter collided with a US drone over the Black Sea, according to a US military statement on Tuesday.

The military said the fighter jet hit the propeller of a US military reconnaissance drone, forcing the US to shoot it down.

“Our MQ-9 was conducting routine operations in international airspace when it was intercepted and struck by a Russian aircraft, resulting in the MQ-9’s crash and total loss,” said US Air Force Commander General James Hecker. Europe’s forces and Africa’s air forces.

“In fact, this unsafe and unprofessional action by the Russians caused both planes to crash.”
