Russian Rangers Goaltender Named Third Star of NHL Match Today
Moscow, March 19 – The goalkeeper of the Russian “New York Rangers” Igor Shesterkin was recognized as the third star of the day in the National Hockey League (NHL), according to the tournament website.
On Sunday night, the Rangers beat Pittsburgh at home (6: 0). Shesterkin saved all 33 shots on goal and had the 10th clean sheet of his NHL career.
The second star of the day was Edmonton forward Evander Kane, who scored a hat-trick in a 6-4 win away to Seattle.
The first star of the day was the forward of “Carolina” Sebastian Ahu, who designed a hat-trick and whose goal in overtime helped the team beat the visiting “Philadelphia” (5: 4).
