San Jose and Knijoff Extend Contract

Moscow, March 30 – Russian defender Nikolai Knigov has extended his contract with the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League (NHL), according to the official Sharks website.
The new agreement is designed for a period of two years. According to media reports, during this period he will earn $ 2.5 million.
General manager Mike Greer said, “We’re thrilled Nikolai will stay with our team for at least two years. He’s worked hard to get back on the team this season and we look forward to seeing him continue to improve.”

Knijoff has been playing for San Jose since 2020. The 25-year-old missed almost two full seasons with lower-body injuries and returned to the Sharks on March 6 against Winnipeg. Throughout his career, the Russian took part in 68 NHL matches and scored 11 (3 + 8) points.
