Saudi Arabia launches free e-transit visa
Yesterday, Monday, Saudi Arabia launched a “travel visa” service for those arriving electronically by air, with the aim of facilitating entry into the Kingdom for all purposes, as well as simplifying and automating entry visa procedures.
And, according to the Saudi Press Agency, the visa allows those on the road and those who wish to enter the Kingdom to perform Umrah and visit the Prophet’s Mosque, in addition to traveling and attending tourist activities.
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the launch of the service will start from Monday, by submitting a request for a transit visa for an air visit through the electronic platforms of Saudi Airlines and Flynas, which will be automatically transferred to the single national visa platform at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to be processed immediately. and issue a digital visa and email it to the recipient.
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has indicated that the Digital Transit Visa Service “will contribute to achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Strategy 2030 by strengthening the Kingdom’s position and leveraging its preeminent strategic position as a continent-connecting hub, transit station of attraction, and a global tourist destination.” .
And she stated that a transit visa for visiting will be issued free of charge and immediately with a travel ticket, and its validity period will be extended to three months, and residence in the Kingdom for a period of 4 days.
