Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman received the President of the Bureau International des Expositions, Patrick Spectet, and the delegation accompanying him.

During the reception, they got acquainted with the dossier of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosting Riyadh Expo 2030.

Fahd bin Abdul Mohsen Al Rashid, Director General of the Royal Commission for the City of Riyadh, said: “This visit will be an important opportunity for the members of the mission to get acquainted with promising projects in the capital, making it an ideal global destination for tourism and investment.”

He added: “Efforts from all parties from the private and public sectors are coming together to contribute to the hosting victory, and the interaction that we are witnessing from Riyadh will play a key role in creating an exceptional version of this global forum.”

During the visit, members of the BIE delegation will meet with a number of ministers, in addition to subject matter experts, to discuss various technical aspects that were previously presented in the Riyadh Expo 2030 candidacy file in September 2022.

As part of the evaluation phase of candidate files for the right to host the International Expo 2030, the BIE mission will discuss the feasibility of candidate files submitted by competing countries to the BIE.

Notably, Saudi Arabia has announced its intention to host the EXPO 2030 World Expo in the capital city of Riyadh in October 2021, and since that date, the delegation submitting the candidate dossier, led by the Riyadh City Royal Commission, has made three presentations to the General Assembly International Exhibition Bureau.
