Egyptian businessman Naguib Sawiris said he was not considering taking over the Egyptian football club Al-Ahli, explaining the reasons for this.
Sawiris said in television statements last Monday night that he does not intend to run for president of the Al Ahli club for many reasons.
He explained that he is mindful of his own business, in addition, he wants to reduce the number of working hours, and this is contrary to the nature of the Al-Ahly presidency, which requires branching and great efforts.
Sawiris continued: “The whole sports system is wrong because it is not specialized. Clubs must be proposed and people must buy shares in the clubs they promote, and this remains at the general meeting, which elects the board of directors and holds it. responsible”.
And about the club he would support if Al Ahli met freshly promoted Premier League club Zed, Sawiris said: “Al Ahli, of course I’m Ahlawi.”
