Shesterkin receives taunts from New Jersey fans during playoff game

Moscow, April 19 – The New Jersey Devils host the New York Rangers in Game 1 of the National Hockey League’s (NHL) Eastern Playoff Series.
During the encounter, Devils fans began to taunt Rangers’ Russian goalkeeper Igor Shesterkin, chanting “Igor! Igor!” In a similar way, the Russians were provoked by Pittsburgh Penguins fans in the first round of the playoffs for the 2021/22 season.
