Moscow, February 8 – Hockey players “New York Islanders” defeated the “Seattle Kraken” in the match of the regular season of the National Hockey League (NHL).
The meeting in New York ended with a score of 4: 0 (2: 0, 2: 0, 0: 0) in favor of the “Islanders”. Samuel Boldeuk (8th minute), Simon Holmström (19), Zack Parisi (24) and Bo Horvath (26) scored for the winners.

Russian goalkeeper Ilya Sorokin made 32 saves and earned his fifth clean sheet of the tournament, catching 2022/23 season leader Darcy Kemper of the Washington Capitals. Sorokin also finished with his 15th career shutout and ranked fourth in franchise history in that indicator, ahead of Tommy Salo (14). The Russian was recognized as the second star of the match.
