Smoke in Plane Resolved, Pulkovo Airport Operating Normally

St. Petersburg, July 1 – The headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation said that Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg, where smoke rose on board the plane, is operating normally, and flights are not delayed.
Earlier, the Northwest Transport Prosecutor’s Office reported that at about 23.15 Moscow time on Friday there was smoke in the plane in Pulkovo. Passengers were sent to the airport terminal, and no one was injured. Northern Capital Air Jet, which operates the airport, reported that the plane, which was supposed to fly from St. Petersburg to Dubai, was pulled into the parking lot. A representative of the emergency services told the News Agency that the accident occurred with the Emirates Boeing 777.
The report says: “The airport and the airline are taking all measures to reduce the delay time. The airport is operating normally, without affecting the schedule.”
