Soyatek went without a fight to the semi-finals of the tournament in Doha due to the refusal of her opponent.

Moscow, February 16 – World number one superstar Pole Iga Šwiętek reached the semi-finals of the $780,000 tournament in Doha without a fight as Swiss competitor Belinda Bencic withdrew from the competition, according to the official website of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA).
Bencic (7th seed) beat Belarusian Victoria Azarenka on the way to the quarterfinals 1: 6, 7: 6 (7: 4), 6: 4. After the match, the Swiss decided to give up further struggle due to fatigue.

And Sventic, who, in turn, defeated American Danielle Collins (6: 0, 6: 1) in the second round, became the first of the semi-finalists of the tournament in Doha.
