Suppliers must demonstrate absence of Russian resources to comply with European Union regulations

BRUSSELS, June 23 – The European Commission said in a statement that, in the eleventh package of sanctions imposed on Russia, the European Union obligated iron and steel suppliers from third countries to prove that Russian resources were not used in production.

On Friday, the Council of the European Union finally approved the eleventh package of sanctions against Russia, and it will enter into force at a later date after being published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
