Moscow, May 18 – According to the team’s official website, Ineos Grenadier cyclist Theo Gaghan-Hart, who was involved in an accident during the eleventh stage of the Giro d’Italia, will need surgery.
According to Cycling News, the Briton collided in the wet with team-mate Welshman Geraint Thomas and Slovenian Primoz Roglic (Jumbo Visma). In addition to Gagan Hart, Spain’s Oscar Rodriguez of Movistar pulled out of the race due to a fall.
A medical examination revealed that Gagan Hart had a fractured left femur. The cyclist will need surgery.
